Dark Shadows

Night falls on my little party and my table is transformed into a still-life from another century.

This is usually my least favorite hour of the day - unless the hour is blue...like the indigo blue over the Atlantic at dusk or the blue that veils Paris - l'heure bleue.

I know I've said it before...I don't like the night. But if every night created a scene such as this, I think I could learn to welcome it.

Dearest Catherine,
Ah yes the bleu parisian skies....
Is there an extra chair for me? I would love to sit here with you this evening and sip that teacup and talk about our spooks and goblins as night time gently falls on our shoulders. We would cheers to our life in the darkest moment of the night, for it is our darkest moments that make our brightest moments:)
Love this post my friend.

Ah lovely & mysterious, C. I have mixed feelings about the night (as with nearly everything)...but I lean towards liking even the melancholy. Dark shadows, of course, also conjures up that show...squeal.

Catherine, I love these. The shadows speak of possibility, memory, to phantasy, to mystery, to everything the day pictures speak to and more. Thank you, Monika

I love your evening photographs. I am so curious as to what kind of camera you used and what the setting might have been ? Did you use a tripod ? I apologize for my unrestrained curiosity, but the quality of light is so lovely . Thanks, Clara

Love that white relief tea pot! Hope your tea party for two was splendid. It certainly looks it. Would liked to have been a butterfly on the flower arrangement I know is nearby.
